In September 2011, some of Sing The World's members took part in the Sing for Water mass choir event at London's Thames Festival.
We had a really fabulous time performing with over 800 othersingers!

Sing The World meets fortnightly from 7.30pm - 9.30pm on Monday evenings, at Speen Parish Hall on the edge of Newbury. The cost is £5.00 per session. For details of our winter/spring 2012 sessions, please take a look at our Term Dates webpage.
2011 has been a great year all round, with inspirational singing workshops in February, May and December as well as our regular Monday evening sessions. Sessions were well-attended and we've had some great feedback from participants - thank you, everyone!
We are continuing our programme of Saturday afternoon workshops in 2012, starting with one on 31st March at Speen Village Hall. Full details can be found on our Singing Workshops webpage.
Sing The World are a Newbury-based 'world music' a capella singing group, who have been running successfully now for over a decade. We sing music drawn from a wealth of singing traditions throughout the world, and mostly teach songs by ear. To join us you don't need to be able to read sheet music, and there are no auditions - complete beginners and experienced singers are equally welcome. We aim to make our sessions uplifting, energising and inspiring - just what we all need and deserve!
