Singing Workshops
Singing Into Spring!
Saturday 31st March, 2pm - 5pm
with Tessa Hall
Come and celebrate stepping into the lighter half of the year with an afternoon workshop of lively and harmonious songs.
Complete beginners and experienced singers all welcome: songs will be taught by ear so no ability read to music is necessary, just a desire to sing out! Songs will range from short rhythms to happy spirituals and uplifting pieces for spring. They will be taught in a fun, friendly and relaxed atmosphere!
Workshop leader Tessa Hall is a Natural Voice practitioner and long-term member of Newbury singing group Sing the World. She teaches songs and leads workshops for all ages and backgrounds, also performing at festivals and Newbury Unplugged.
If you can help publicise this workshop to friends, neighbours and colleagues by displaying our workshop poster, we would be very grateful.
Feedback from participants at our last (December 2011) workshop with Becca Flintham:
“Really enjoyed it – you made everyone feel welcome and relaxed. I love the way the group came together to produce wonderful music together in such a short space of time. I went home uplifted and singing! Really looking forward to joining you again.”
“I really enjoyed the workshop: it felt welcoming when we walked in and other people were friendly. I liked the informal atmosphere, the variety of ages – and I loved the mix of songs we sang. Becca has a natural gift to help people feel at ease and makes learning enjoyable and easy. Thank you.”
“I absolutely loved it and enjoyed every minute of the session. I thought the warm up exercises were entertaining and the choice of songs very uplifting and joyful. Finally I thought your delivery was stunning – it made everything very accessible and easy to follow.”
